MAC ÉRON

Mac Éron (Cameron Armstrong) ist ein US-amerikanischer Roots-Musiker und Songwriter aus Seattle, Washington, der in München, Deutschland, lebt. Er ist ein Verfechter der amerikanischen Musik des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts und bekannt für seine mitreißenden Interpretationen alter Folksongs. Als Solokünstler spielt Mac Èron Gitarre, Clawhammer Banjo und singt und hat vor kurzem die neue Single „Nonna’s Favourite Song“ mit Jonathan Gordon veröffentlicht, die auf allen Streaming-Plattformen zu finden ist.

Das Ruby Rosi stellt Pizza und Getränke zur Verfügung. Wasser, Softdrinks, Bier sind möglich. Weitere Getränke wie Longdrinks, Weine, etc. bitte mit uns vor Ort absprechen. Harte Spirituosen können wir leider nicht anbieten bzw. wären selber zu zahlen.

MUSIK wollen wir hören! Deswegen würden wir Dich bitten, beim Bestellen der Getränke etwas sensibel zu sein. Getränke, die in der Zubereitung laut sind wie Kaffee oder Cocktails, deswegen bitte vorher oder in den Pausen bestellen. Dazu bekommst Du genügend Zeit. Die Künstler und das Publikum werden es Dir danken!

Zum Parken kann man das Q-Park Carsch-Haus nutzen oder öffentliche Parkplätze.

Das ist natürlich schade! Aber Du kannst trotzdem kommen, denn es werden immer mal wieder Tickets frei. Setze Dich auf die Warteliste und erhalte eine Nachricht, wenn es freie Plätze gibt.

Angelina Kalke ist eine leidenschaftliche Singer/Songwriterin aus Düsseldorf. Musik bedeutet für sie Gefühle und Emotionen auszudrücken, wenn Worte manchmal einfach nicht reichen. 
Ihre Songs sind sehr persönlich, denn Songwriting ist manchmal wie ein Tagebucheintrag oder ein Gespräch mit der besten Freundin. 

Mit 10 Jahren schrieb sie schon ihre ersten Songs – heute berührt sie Menschen von der Bühne aus. Mit ihrer Gitarre performt sie ihre eigenen Songs und baut gerne auch mal bekannte Charthits in eigener Version ein. Von Stadtfesten über Hochzeiten bis hin zu Auftritten in der Oberhausener Arena – die Bühne ist Angelinas Zuhause.

MJ REYNOLDS

MJ Reynolds is an award-winning artist from Bristol in the UK; a purveyor of acoustic pop, country and Americana.

MJ has the voice of an angel with the reliability of the seasoned performer he is. An ocean of experience as a front man both solo and in bands, his work has garnered praise from the likes of Frank Turner, who picked him out from hundreds of artists to win a songwriting competition.

He writes with a vulnerability and honesty that is endearing and enticing. With the strength and power of his voice he is naturally suited to ballads, tender tales of love, requited and otherwise, but he can rock it out with the best of them. He is at his best when using the soulful tones of his voice. Vocally agile without being showy or gratuitously gymnastic he is also a competent musician and compelling solo performer.

His debut album ‘Bipolarcoaster’ is available now and new music is coming very soon in 2025.

GARETH ESSON

With his gentle guitar style, soulful voice and highly personal songs, alternative folk-soul artist Gareth Esson has often been compared to songwriting greats like Sting, Bill Withers and Tracy Chapman. Growing up as one of nine children in Wolverhampton, he first discovered songwriting as a way to entertain his younger siblings. His talent for storytelling and passion for music emerged during his teenage years, when he taught himself to play the guitar. Nowadays, his songs range from brutally honest records of past relationships, to tall tales of adventure and superheroes. Gareths performs regularly in London, playing to sold-out crowds in venues such as The Bedford, St. Pancras Old Church, and The Lexington, and toured over 20 German cities in 2017 and 2018.

Aurora Rays is a Birmingham based singer – songwriter, musician inspired by music in all its forms. She’s Head of Vocals and owner of U-niverse.
In 2022 she obtained the Global Talent Visa (UK) and she has been nominated as for “Top 50 Artists-Worldwide” at „Show4Me Music Awards 2022”.
Her debut album has been reviewed by Rockit magazine as „An amazing debut album which needs to be listened to”.
Recent performances highlights include: Opera House – Doha (Qatar), Italy’s got talent, Scenes-Usa, Sidmouth Fringe Sessions, Symphony Hall, Gaiajazz Festival, Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival and many others.

Born in Germany, raised in Schiedam, and now based in Rotterdam, Nani Kry has always been drawn to music and the culture surrounding it. Playing guitar and piano since childhood, he released his first single at just 13: „I know what it feels like to strive for something beautiful.“ This phrase is now engraved in the streets of his old neighborhood, Groenoord Zuid. His journey has taken him to major stages like Melkweg, De Doelen Rotterdam, and the Chocoladefabriek in Utrecht. At 17, he fully embraced Rotterdam’s creative scene, performing across the city and pushing his sound further. Now working on his album, Nani often travels abroad for inspiration. His philosophy? „When I close my eyes with my guitar in my hands, I see myself on a big stage, pulling my breakthrough toward me like a magnet.“ Or as he puts it: „Music isn’t good or bad—it’s a feeling. You either feel me or you don’t.“

FLORIAN FRANKE

Was passieren kann, wenn man zwei gegensätzliche Genres verbindet, zeigt Florian Franke auf seinem am 18. September 2020 erscheinenden Album „Rosa Elefanten“. Eine Mixtur aus Pop und Jazz, die so natürlich wirkt, als wäre sie schon immer da gewesen. Feinsinnige Texte führen durch
Arrangements, die überraschen, aber dennoch vertraut scheinen. Mal schimmert eher die Leichtigkeit des Pops durch, mal überwiegt die Freiheit des Jazz. Ein gutes Stück vom Mainstream entfernt, erinnert der deutsche Jazz-Pop an eine Zeit, in der Musik nicht am Laptop, sondern im Studio
entstand. Dabei ist die Besonderheit des Albums, dass alles live und gleichzeitig eingespielt wurde. Mit einer fantastischen Band im Rücken ist Florian Franke ein Album geglückt, dass nicht nur den Kopf, sondern auch die Füße bewegt.

„Meine Musik soll so klingen, als würde Ray Charles Songs der Arctic Monkeys interpretieren“, bringt es Jan selbst auf den Punkt und nennt mit den Ikonen aus Blues und Indierock dabei nur zwei seiner zahlreichen Einflüsse: Unüberhörbar spricht aus jedem Song auch die Sozialisation mit 90er-Britpop, die melodiöse Ästhetik der Beatles und pulsierende HipHop- Perkussivität. Eine Kombination, die ihm bereits 2012 den Vorentscheid-Gewinn von 1Live beim New Music Award sicherte. Songwriting-technisch setzt der Wuppertaler dabei auf Eingängigkeit und Authentizität.

Den eigenen, inneren Dämonen blickt der 40-jährige in seinen Texten dabei ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste ins Auge: Bei den autobiographisch entstandenen Konfrontationen mit Depressionen bis hin zum selbstreflexiven Seelenstriptease über den eskapistischen Reiz der Selbstzerstörung macht Jan aus seiner Seele keine Mördergrube und inspiriert mit dieser Schonungslosigkeit, es ihm gleichzutun. Denn am Ende steht trotz allem ein hoffnungsvoller, optimistischer Ausblick – getragen von seiner charakteristischen wie vielseitigen Stimme, die mit ihrem rohen, britischen Groove einen enormen Wiedererkennungswert erhält, neben rotzigem Punk-Feeling aber auch die sanften Formen des Falsetts bedient. Gerade singt Jan vielleicht noch bittersüße Liebeslieder voller leiser Zwischentöne, um im nächsten Moment Gift und Galle zu spucken und gleich darauf lupenreine Raps auf die Bühne zu bringen, nur begleitet von seiner Gitarre und hin und wieder dem Publikum selbst. Eine Stimme und ein Künstler, dem man die emotionalen Achterbahnfahrten und die Hingabe, die er besingt, zu jeder Sekunde abnimmt.

WAS IST, WENN ICH KEINE TICKETS KRIEGE?
Das ist natürlich schade! Aber Du kannst trotzdem kommen, denn es werden immer mal wieder Tickets frei. Setze Dich auf die Warteliste und erhalte eine Nachricht, wenn es freie Plätze gibt.

WARUM EINTRITT FREI?
Wir wollen, dass wirklich jede Person Zugang zu tollen Livemusik Veranstaltungen hat. Dies soll vor allem nicht am Geld scheitern. Und deswegen verlangen wir keinen Eintritt zu all unseren Konzerten. Natürlich müssen wir aber auch unsere Kosten decken und vor allem den Musikern faire Gagen zahlen für Ihre Auftritte. Deshalb lassen wir bei allen Konzerten unseren KÜNSTLERHUT herumgehen. In diesen kannst Du gerne Geld für den Künstler spenden. Natürlich nur wenn es Dir gefällt und es Deine Situation zulässt! So kannst Du dem Künstler etwas Gutes tun und anderen Konzertbesuchern, die sonst nicht genug Geld haben, um Konzerte zu besuchen. Der Inhalt des Hutes kommt zu 100% den Künstlern zugute.

CHIARA WHITE

Chiara White, a singer-songwriter from Florence, made her debut album in December 2017 with „Biancoinascoltato“ (Suburban Sky-Audioglobe). An album dedicated to the journey—both real and imaginary—through space and time, a journey of self-discovery searching for the essence of things, often forgotten and unheard. With this first work, featuring „Praga“ as the lead single, she received various accolades and awards, including winning the „Premio Zonta“ for Best Female Singer-Songwriter Song of 2018 and opening a concert for Ginevra Di Marco. Additionally, she was a semi-finalist in the „Premio De Andrè“ and „Area Sanremo 2018“ and a finalist in the „Proscenium Festival 2019“ and „L’ Artista che non c’era 2021“.

In May 2021, she released her second album, „Pandora“, a concept album dedicated to our inner demons. A kind of bestiary of monsters, inspired by the myth of Pandora. It represents a cathartic clash/encounter with one’s inner (and external) demons, presented from a female perspective. The first single, Neroseppia (with over 120000 plays on Spotify), a song dedicated to the dark shadow of depression, was a finalist in the prestigious „Premio Bianca d’Aponte 2021“ and won second prize in the „Vibrasong Contest 2021“.

In the summer of 2023, she toured across Italy to present Pandora, performing in Florence (Giardino delle Rose, Murate Caffè Letterario), Contursi Terme, Ivrea (Solativo), Milan (Garage Moulinski), and even Barcelona.

She is currently working on writing and arranging new songs, shifting her stylistic research towards electronic rock with elements of techno and dubstep—a second journey into hell, exploring the twisted folds of the mind and its disorders.

After a break from live performances, she is now back on stage, performing solo or as a duo, joined by Giulia Nuti . Her setlist includes songs from both of her released albums, some unreleased tracks, and a selection of covers spanning Italian singer-songwriter pop and alternative rock (such as „Il cielo in una stanza“ by Paoli and „Stelle buone“ by Cristina Donà), as well as some of the most famous rock and pop songs in English (from U2 to Radiohead).

IS THIS A CONCERT OR DINNER MUSIC?
Quite clearly: concert! With the concerts we want to promote newcomer musicians with their own music, bring new music to the people, eat something good and have a great time with other people. For this to work, you should also listen to the bands at the concert and get involved with the music. This way the artists are not disturbed in their performance and the other guests are not disturbed while listening – and nothing stands in the way of a unique concert evening for everyone!

ESSEN & TRINKEN?
Ruby Emma offers a bar with a wide selection of drinks at moderate prices. For the small hunger there is a selection of snacks. However, cash payment is not possible.

WHAT IF I DON’T GET ANY TICKETS?
That is of course a pity! But you can still come, because there are always tickets available. Put yourself on the waiting list and get a message when there are free seats.

WHY ADMISSION FREE?
We want that really every person has access to great live music events. Above all, this should not fail because of money. And that’s why we don’t charge admission to any of our concerts. Of course, we also have to cover our costs and pay fair fees to the musicians for their performances. That’s why we pass around our ARTIST’S HAT at all our concerts. You are welcome to donate money to the artist. Of course only if you like it and your situation allows it! This way you can do something good for the artist and for other concert visitors who otherwise don’t have enough money to visit concerts. The content of the hat is 100% for the benefit of the artists.
